Job Title: Transportation Supervisor FLSA/Grade: Exempt/Salary
Reports to: Transportation Manager Department: Transportation
Position Summary:
The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for ensuring morning dispatch runs smoothing and addressing any issues that may occur.
The position of Transportation Supervisor is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act and shall not be entitled to overtime compensation for hours worked more than 40 in any one work week.
The Transportation Supervisor shall be accountable and supervised by the Transportation Manager.

- Train all drivers in company policies and procedures.
- Oversee morning dispatch to ensure there are no issues. Reassigning of drivers and helpers as needed.
- Address all driver/customer concerns throughout day.
- Road test/interview potential new hires.
- Handle any recoveries/deliveries throughout the day as a backup.
- Assist with transfer of product from other facility.
- Assist with the assignment of helpers each morning.
- Review driver’s hours of service daily.
- Ride with drivers and provide written evaluations.
- Customer site visits.
- Spot check drivers and provide written documentation.
- Review and coach driver cam events with drivers.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures while paying special attention to safety procedures.
- Accident/Injury investigations.
- Post-accident retraining and evaluations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Computer Literacy. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize work.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 2-4 years prior working experience.
- Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, FDA and FMCSA regulations.
- CDL Class A or B required.
