Position Summary:
The Quality Assurance (QA) Lab Technician is responsible for maintaining rigorous quality assurance procedures and standard evaluation methods. This role ensures the ongoing integrity and high-quality standards of all TOTO products through systematic testing, data analysis, and cross-departmental collaboration.
Quality Inspection & Analysis: Conduct detailed product testing and competitive sample analysis; ensure results are documented and reported accurately and in a timely manner.
Problem Solving & Root Cause: Investigate field returns, perform root cause analysis, and recommend effective corrective or preventive actions.
Process Improvement: Develop, recommend, and update quality procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs) based on inspection findings.
Documentation & Reporting: Compile inspection results, conduct statistical data analysis, and issue detailed reports to stakeholders.
Technical Support: Serve as a technical resource for internal departments, suppliers, and customers.
Field Operations: Conduct site visits to suppliers and end-users to perform quality audits, inspections, and resolve product quality issues.
Product Maintenance: Perform repairs on returned customer products as required.
Training & Collaboration: Assist in the training and education of personnel regarding quality standards; maintain active communication with production staff, warehouse teams, management, and engineers.
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Education: Associate degree in a technical or scientific field.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel) is required. Must be able to perform mathematical calculations and basic statistical analysis.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to influence others positively and maintain professional standards.
Personal Attributes: High level of detail-orientation, strong multi-tasking abilities, and the capacity to handle sensitive/confidential information.
Regional Residency: Must reside within the Atlanta, GA metro area.
Hybrid Schedule: Ability to work a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office, 2 days remote), with flexibility to adjust based on business operational requirements.
