 Signature Theatre, one of New York's leading off-Broadway theatres, is seeking a Digital Marketing and Communications Associate for The Pershing Square Signature Center on West 42nd Street. 


About Signature

Founded in 1991, Signature Theatre celebrates playwrights and gives them an artistic home, producing six to eight productions annually. In 2005 Signature began its groundbreaking Signature Ticket Initiative, providing affordable tickets to all of its productions. In 2012, Signature opened The Pershing Square Signature Center, the Frank Gehry-designed 75,000 square foot Center featuring three theatres, two rehearsal studios, a central, public lobby with a café and bookstore, as well as administrative offices. Responsibilities

  • Own the creation of unique, targeted marketing emails through Dot Digital, Spektrix’s integrated email marketing platform.
  • Work closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications and the Director of Development to generate reports for key stakeholders and help identify opportunities for targeted marketing and development projects based on transactional history.
  • Work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager to provide cross-departmental support for all of Signature’s customer-facing digital platforms and communications channels including (but not limited to) marketing email creation and list management, advertising asset design, venue signage design and management, moderating Signature’s social media accounts, and managing website content. 
  • Write creative copy and contribute to and participate in digital content creation while maintaining Signature’s brand guidelines.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager of Audience and Community Engagement to provide ongoing support for Signature’s community and business partnerships and provide on- and off-site event production support for 10+ special events per mainstage production, non-mainstage related events, and other special events.
  • Work closely with the Development department on daily and project-based tasks, such as writing and mailing acknowledgement letters, managing gift and donation database entry, pulling reports for mailings, digital campaigns, and providing support for donor events.
  • Provide cross-departmental support for all direct mail campaigns deployed by Development and Marketing, including collateral design and segmented list management between Spektrix, TRG, and other institutional databases.
  • Attend mandatory company events on evenings and weekends when required.

Requirements

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Wordpress or other similar CMS tools for website content management. 
  • Proficiency in digital content creation for social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, and Tik Tok.
  • Proficiency in email marketing platforms such as Mail Chimp, Constant Contact, Dot Digital, or Wordfly.
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems, primarily Spektrix (Signature’s new CRM); experience with any CRM systems from previous roles with a visitor serving organization required.
  • Excellent writing skills with a proven ability to craft clear, concise communications for internal and external stakeholders and community partners.
  • Event management for gatherings of 50-100 people, or large event support for gatherings of 100+ people.
  • Desired Skills
  • Experience creating customer surveys, collecting data, and analyzing the results.
  • A passion for the arts, particularly an interest in theatre, with previous experience in a customer-facing role at another theatre or other cultural institution / visitor serving organization.
  • Proficiency with digital workflow platforms such as Outlook, Teams, Asana, Google Workspace, Dropbox, etc.
  • Eagerness to work with and learn from Signature’s Resident Artists, collaborate cross-departmentally, and contribute creatively and positively to Signature’s organizational culture and mission.


Compensation

 This is a full-time salaried non-exempt position, with compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience. The salary range for this role is $56,000-60,000 on an annualized basis. Benefits include group health, dental, and vision plans, as well as the opportunity to participate in tax-saving flexible spending, commuter and 401(k) plan
